All conference activities will be hosted at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel (delegate transportation is provided to the October 18th Open House and October 21st Brunch at the Black Cultural Centre.) The hotel is ideally located in a central downtown location with easy access to the waterfront’s lively boardwalks and boutiques and, a favourite of locals and visitors alike, enclosed pedways conveniently connecting you to activities across the downtown.
Conference attendees can reserve rooms at the rate of $212 CAN per night + taxes. This rate is available until September 20, 2023 and has limited capacity. We encourage you to book your room early. The room rate includes dates from October 14 – 24, 2023 for any guests wishing to arrive early or stay later to explore the area.

By Air:
Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is located 34 km from the conference hotel. The airport offers US Pre-Clearance and is served by national and international airlines, with many direct and non-stop flight options. International delegates please check the visa requirements for your country.
By Ground:
Taxi Service

Public transit service between Halifax Stanfield International Airport and Downtown Halifax is offered at a rate of $4.25 per adult. Exact cash fare is required. Please note, a connection is required at the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal to Scotia Square and a further 5-minute walk via pedway or sidewalk completes your route to the hotel.
